Description

The Monkey King is a Legendary Pet from Monkey Fairground. It is currently worth a little more than the Werewolf. It is currently worth a little less than the Grim Dragon. It is currently about equal in value to the Neon Matcha Cat.

Exotic

The Monkey King is widely considered to be an Exotic pet. These types of pets usually have a low supply in the game which has driven up their value. Exotic pets were either hard to get when they were in game or were ignored for some reason. Many of them were also in game for a short period of time. Lots of players seek out these pets since they are usually harder to get.

Update Notes: "Offers for the FR monkey king still seem to be hovering around the 26ish ride potion range where we have it. Offers for the no potion monkey king sometimes get near DOUBLE that, like SSBD with kangaroo and cupid dragon. We must stress that these large offers are the direct result of value manipulation of the no pot monkey king per research we did on the matter when it first occurred. See our YouTube Video Investigation . We are still considering whether or not to acknowledge the increased offers for the no pot version. Freshly seeing the evidence we put in that video makes us not want to but at the same time, sadly the manipulation created this new reality since too many players accepted it as truth despite red flags. Hmm"

Update Notes: "We see the FR monkey king recently traded for a MFR t-rex which is good. It seems like players are only giving their best offers to the manipulated No Potion version though - and those no potion offers seem to be getting worse and worse with highlights now only being items like an SSBD. We received a thoughtful suggestion from user waterbrain1 that we should recognize value increases even for manipulated pets. We do typically tend to do that, but we do it in small chunks. For example, if we know an item was manipulated and suddenly shoots up 100 RP in value, we will note its manipulation and often give it a 10 to 20 RP increase in value at first. Then a few days later if it has maintained that growth, we will add another 10 to 20 RP. The idea is that over time the manipulation might become the truth. Most of the time the values plummet as the manipulation gets exposed and the hype dies and the lack of true demand or value shines through. The monkey king is the first instance of ONLY the no potion version of a pet being manipulated. In this unique case, we are going just wait til either the manipulation is clearly and indisputably now the truth or it falls apart. It seems like the majority of our users who responded still oppose accepting it as truth so we will wait a bit longer and see what happens. Sorry for wordiness. Leaving value as is since offers are now not really surpassing the 26 RP mark"
