These pets themselves are cool, but we caution you to not overpay for them. We usually temporarily put pets in this category that recently received huge value increases out of nowhere by other websites/groups for seemingly no valid reason (particularly the Mega Neon version usually). Players then react to those published value increases by overpaying because they think the pet is hyped. Sometimes this is all due to value manipulation. Use caution when trading for these pets.

We previously classified these pets as Wannabe Exotic pets. At some point in the past, they each had gotten shocking value increases by some other websites/groups for seemingly no valid reason. We had them included in our Wannabe Exotic Pet List above. However, over time, the truth slowly overpowered the false hype and those suspicious increases were reverted. We were then able to remove these pets from our Wannabe Exotic list, but we keep this information here as a record of what has happened in the past.

To help you better understand the damage that can be done by these Wannabe Exotics, take a look at this example:

As you can see in the graph above (provided by WinAdopt.Me which tracks published values of multiple value websites), the MFR Chef Gorilla somehow had a value increase of nearly 700% by some websites/groups in just a few weeks back in April 2025. This is a clear signal of something suspicious going on. We remember looking into this at the time and seeing absolutely no evidence of offers increasing in value like that. Nobody was making big offers for this pet, and the demand was quite low so nothing was driving values up (as it always has been for that pet).

Here is our graph of what the trading value for the MFR Chef Gorilla was in reality. This is a graph of average values for actual completed trades - not a graph of our suggested values:


The above shows the average trade values of COMPLETED TRADES for MFR Chef Gorilla over time as opposed to overhyped inflated value suggestions from the first graph. Notice how there is no huge value spike in offer values during that April to May 2025 timeframe.

We called this out and added it to our Wannabe Exotics list. As you can see, over time, the truth overpowered the false hype as the published value declined consistently over time. But just think of someone who might have actually believed that hype and traded a high tier pet for the MFR Chef Gorilla. They would have lost soooo much value in their inventory. Accordingly, we advise you to always thoroughly research values, recent trades, etc. from as many sources as you can before making big trades.
